SLJ Practice: Niagara Falls

Hi guys and welcome back to my blog, and today's blog post is about the Summer Learning Journey practice Lesson 5, I am so excited and a bit sad knowing the lesson five is my last lesson. But there is so many more adventures I am still going to go on, so don't get your hopes down yet.

Anyway for today my task was to chose a photo that Emma (summer learning journey teacher) put up for us and there was three, and so I chose this photo from Canada and it was a water full called Niagara Falls, one of the largest water full in the world.

So then we had to find two fact about it and link the facts to the site I found them from, but I had to put them in my own words. The reason why I chose this because the photo of the water full was beautiful, and It looked amazing. So I wish to visit there some day.

So yeah that will be it for today hope you guys like my blog post and hope you have learnt something from this, Bye guys!!!
Question: do you think that this water full is the largest???
Question : Is there another water full at least the same size?

  1. Hey Blessing,
This blog post is blowing my mind... you have written so clearly, included sources, and written in paragraphs. Wow!
I think it would be amazing to go to Niagara Falls, I have never been there but it is definitely on the bucket list!
Another big waterfall is Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe it sounds pretty impressive (https://www.conservationinstitute.org/10-biggest-largest-waterfalls-in-the-world/). I wonder what the biggest waterfall in New Zealand is?

  2. Hi Miss Morgan,
Thank you so much for commenting on my blog, Also thank you for having the time to comment on my blog. I appreciate your kind words and complements!! Thank you for answering my question, and I cannot wait to start researching about Victoria falls. In fact I would like to do a blog post about Victoria falls.

The biggest water fall in NZ is Sutherland Falls, I have not actually been there and I don't know much about it. Do you think I could win a prize for the SLJ?? Thanks again hope to start a conversation!!

    1. Hey Blessing,
What a great reply you have written. Awesome! It is so cool to see that you love learning as much as I do! Sutherland Falls... interesting! I am just researching it now and it says that it takes 4 days tramping to get there on the Milford Track! Perhaps that is why I have not seen it before! Although I think that sometimes the biggest isn't always the most beautiful... I have looked up the prettiest waterfalls in New Zealand... I like the look of the Rere Falls what about you? https://www.backpackerguide.nz/12-wonderful-waterfalls-new-zealand/
I think if you keep up this blogging you will definitely win a prize! Have you got your own chromebook?

Wow I had a look a Rere falls and its not that I like it I actually love the look of it, I'm so satisfied. Aww thanks for that, and yeah I do have my own chrome book but its so broken you can barley see the screen properly. That is why I want to win a prize and that prize would hopefully be a Chromebook.

  4. Kia ora Blessing,
My name is Georgia and I am the Kaikohekohe Cluster Manager for the Summer Learning Journey. I have been informed by Emma that your school has been incredible with practicing activities for the programme so I thought I would hop on and have a look. I really enjoyed your facts about Niagara Falls, especially the fact about how tall it is! Do you have any waterfalls around you? I live in Whangarei and we have the Whangarei Falls just a quick 5 minutes drive from my home. It's definitely not as impressive as Niagra Falls though. Keep up the fantastic work Blessing, I know that Emma will be kept very busy commenting on your blog posts throughout the summer break. Nga mihi, Georgia
