Digital Ignition

Hi guys, this term the year 6 have been doin digital ignition with a lady called Lyn. Some of the things we learnt in digital ignition I knew from last year, but I did learn some new things. I knew that 1 meant on and 0 meant off. I have also learnt that green means on and purple means off. Computers only understand off and on In 1, 0 or green, purple. Using the on and off method we used a word to create algorithms. The year 6 were then able to control a m bot by  using the code they created. It was very challenging trying to control the m bot because it was hard to get the move right. Every time we entered the code the m bot went the right way. Although it was challenging I really liked the past few weeks spending time with Lyn and her m bots.

Water Cycle Animation

W.A.L.T influenced NZ weather 
Hi guys, I have been working on a water cycle in Mrs Mclachlan Reading group. I decided to turn my water cycle into a animation.

 It was pretty easy for me to do, but I put in to much pages on to my animation, i'm pretty sure I had 208 pages on my animation. 

I have learnt that water vapor  from the rain falls into the clouds, then the water vapor turns into droplet and they combine together when it gets cooler. After when they combine together it gets heavy and it falls out of the sky and that is how rain work.

Anyway I think I have done really good in my reading, I am also very proud of myself. It would be awesome If you commented on my water cycle animation. Thank you !

Using 5 timetable for your 6, 7 and 8 timetables

Genesis Hour Drawing

Hi guys this is my genesis hour drawing. Genesis hour is where you chose a basic topic about your dream. So what I chose was art basically drawing, Here are some drawings I did for my genesis hour. The eye was drawn by pencil and the flower also the 4 eyes were drawn by charcoal. I am very proud of my work and I hope that you like it too.

In term 1 we have been looking at the Erebus disaster of 1979 for reading. every one had to do a DLO about the Erebus disaster, me and my friend Risha have learnt so much about the Erebus disaster, we decided to do a breaking news video, The video is about how the Plane crashed in Antarctica and how the victims family felt. We were very worried because we could only do the video in one week because the next week was the holidays. But we got the video done in about 3 day so we were very very proud of our work, Our teachers were very proud that they showed the board of trusties at Hornby Primary School.

Using Repeated Addison on Multiplication Problem

Hi guys this week I learnt how to use repeated addition on multiplication problems,

Lunch Club Pamphlet

Hi guys we have been learning about getting your audience attention. So we made a pamphlet about anything we liked. So I made one about lunch club. How to get someones attention on a pamphlet it to, make sure they can read it, change the font, make sure you have color and make sure the colors flow and last of all add photos. I am very proud of my work so I hope you like my pamphlet.
